What to Expect From Our Design Process
Project Inception
Our On-Site Consultation
Upon requesting a consultation, our Design Team will meet with you on-site to gather information and learn about your needs. We'll take pictures of the property exterior so we can produce our renderings, as well as provide some quick sketches of what designs are being considered. Property survey data, site plans, or blueprints should be on hand. The more information you can provide us during this process, the better.
Schematic Design

Schematic Design is a vital stage in every project, and the service that Oak Keeper Designs enjoys the most. Once we have gathered all the necessary information, we'll begin rendering your dream outdoor paradise. Plant species have a myriad of factors that influence how they'll grow in different conditions. Our Design Team has decades of expertise in horticulture and will use the conditions specific to your project to select the best collection of flora for sustained beauty. Outdoor kitchens, waterworks, and hardscapes are all part of the design process.
Design Presentation and Proposal
A Shared Dream Brought to Life
Once our Design Team has finished rendering your project, we'll meet with you to present our creative vision. Each design we install is intentionally and thoughtfully designed to match the specific needs of every individual client. Along with a 3D video presentation, you will be given a portfolio with renders of the finalized design, blueprint schematics, an estimated maintenance/utility usage report, and an itemized report of project costs.
Contract Signing and Installation Timeline
Artistry Planned Out
Once you are pleased with the design, a contract will be drawn up. Since there's no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” project, the timeline of the project will vary depending on the size of the project. You will be given a timeline of installation and kept in the loop as we progress.
Project Installation
Overseeing Perfection
We don't just subcontract out all the work and hope for the best. All plants and materials are handpicked by our Design Team to ensure quality and we have a superintendent overseeing the proper construction of all projects throughout the installation process. Throughout this process you will be given constant updates on the progress of your project. We pledge integrity at every step and will be forthright about any hiccups that occur.
Final Walkthrough
Your Paradise Awaits
Once your new landscape has been completed, a walkthrough will be scheduled with the Design Team to make sure your oasis is how you envisioned it to be. You'll be given a new packet with recommended maintenance as well as any other pertinent information. If you don't already have a landscape maintenance team, we can maintain your landscape to ensure it stays beautiful for years to come.
